My son had a period recently where he didn't want to sleep. When we put him to bed and tried to leave, he started crying terribly. So sad! Nothing we did helped. Until mom had a bright idea and thought, maybe I should try a nightlight! Now, I'm not fully gender-neutral yet, and I didn't find his sister's unicorn nightlight quite suitable, especially since she's very attached to it, and we don't want to trade one problem for another!
So, I'm on the hunt for a suitable nightlight for my son. But boy, are there a lot of nightlights out there! I couldn't see the wood for the trees. Luckily, his sister's nightlight lasts a long time on batteries, but ultimately, it still costs me batteries. She's attached to that nightlight, so we'll leave that as it is, but I wanted a nightlight that doesn't run on batteries. Do those exist?
Yes!! They do exist! After searching, squinting, and comparing for a long time, I came across the nightlights from Kadoing! These don't run on batteries; you can charge the light with the included plug. That's what I was looking for! The light is flexible; you can press it and it feels quite soft. It comes with a remote control. You can set it to different colors. You can also adjust the brightness of the light.
We placed the light in his room, I set the color to yellow and dimmed the light. My son slept like a log! Now, when I put him to bed, he looks at me first and then at the owl. We chose the owl lamp; this mama has a weakness for owls haha. My son has a jungle-themed room and we didn't have an owl yet, win-win!
You can find this lamp in different variants:
-
Owl
-
Bear
-
Unicorn
-
Rabbit
-
Fox
I'm thinking of getting one of these lamps for my daughter too. They're very cute, easy to use, and very cozy.
Tip: Reading an exciting story about a dragon? Turn on the red light! Reading a fun story about the jungle or animals? Turn on the green light! It's super cool to read together and get totally immersed in the story.
